Majestic and magical, Harry Gregson-Williams delivers another epic score for the fourth and final installment of the Shrek series, Shrek Forever After. Capturing the high stakes of the animated film, the score conveys that feeling of putting it all on the line as Shrek fights not just for the love of Fiona, but to exist at all. A traditionally orchestrated score, Shrek Forever After eschews the typical singalong-in-disguise soundtrack for something bolder and more substantial, and the film is all the better for it. And even though it might not be as toe-tappingly catchy as many Disney soundtracks, Gregson-Williams' work on the series helps to create the kind of depth that has made the franchise a hit with kids and adults alike. ~ Gregory Heaney
