The last in director Godfrey Reggio's trilogy of films consisting of kinetic images that depict the conflict between humans and nature is an arresting, sobering look at the prevalence of technology and violence in our society, augmented by Philip Glass's haunting score. Preceded by "Powaqqatsi" (1988) and "Koyaanisqatsi" (1983).
