Little Girl

Eight-year-old Sasha begins to experience doubts over her gender identity. Yet despite her parents' respect for her self-expression, Sasha's insular community experiences a divisive reaction over her struggle. With Sasha and her controversial plight standing at the focal point, this documentary interrogates the gender binary and the potentially damaging effects on a child's psychological development when self-actualization is oppressed.
