Honeymooners: Valentine Special

This 1978 television special constituted the third of four hour-long reunions featuring three actors (and the beloved characters they created) from the original 1955 Honeymooners) series. Included this time around are Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden, Art Carney as Ed Norton, and Audrey Meadows as Alice Kramden - plus Jane Kean, who had originally inherited the role of Trixie Norton from Joyce Randolph in 1966. On this occasion, Alice secretly plans to buy Ralph a Valentine's Day suit - and begins sizing him up behind his back - but Ralph mistakenly believes she's seeing another man on the sly and planning to commit mariticide, and thus fitting him for a coffin. To get to the bottom of things, Ralph convinces Ed Norton to go undercover with him, which will require them to dress in drag.
