Adventures In Birdwatching: 3-Volume Boxed Set DVD

Ornithologist Ken Dial takes viewers on a far-flung tour of some of the best bird-watching locales in the hemisphere, adapted from the popular ALL BIRD TV series. Each section focuses on a different region and type of bird, starting with Florida's wading birds at the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge in Sansibel (Red-shouldered Hawks, Double Crested Cormorants, Great Blue Herons, etc.). Sharp, vivid cinematography enhances Dial's amusing, friendly, and extremely informative narration. Succeeding segments include predators from the Pacific Northwest (wild eagles, hawks, crows); various hummingbirds from Arizona; and finally the exotically colorful birds of Costa Rica, featuring an examination of the effects of the rapid encroachment of civilization on their magnificent tropical turf.
